Koi-umeshu

Made from fully ripened Nanko plums grown by local farmers, this umeshu is prepared immediately after harvest and infused for six months to draw out the rich plum essence. The steeped plum pulp is then carefully strained and blended back in, giving it a luxuriously thick texture and exceptionally rich flavour. Intense and full-bodied on the rocks, yet still delivering a vivid plum character when mixed with soda. Also delightful as a topping over ice cream. [GI Wakayama Umeshu]

Using twice the usual amount of plums, it offers a vibrant aroma and refreshing tartness, with a restrained sweetness that creates a pleasantly sour profile.
